The Shades of Green Business Directory and Self-Certification Program allows all business owners to evaluate whether they are light, medium, or dark green in terms of environmental sustainability. Regardless of their current level, all business owners are encouraged to take steps to become increasingly environmentally sustainable - and profitable - and to join our directory to help customer find and support their businesses.

The Advantage Valley Region includes eight counties in three states - Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia. Running roughly from Ashland Kentucky through Charleston, West Virginia, the Advantage Valley Corridor continues to work towards a strong economy and thriving, vibrant communities.

The Community College Alliance for Sustainability is bringing together colleges in the region to collaborate actively engage in promoting sustainability. The core of the Alliance membership is represented by the Presidents of the colleges who have signed a commitment to sustainability. Member colleges of the Alliance have chosen to focus initially on three sectors - sustainable agriculture/local food, renewable energy, and green building. At this point, College Alliance membership is by invitation only (CEO's Green Business, Green Jobs Accelerator has an active private community for the group). The Alliance is in the process of expanding it's sphere of influence and including additional colleges to the membership. CEO is a member of the Alliance and is helping to facilitate the actions and growth of the network.
